The Ishuran Judiciary

The Ishuran Judiciary is the arbiter of justice and the interpreter of The High Tomes. Comprised of only the brightest legal scholars of the Realm, the judiciary serves as the Realm’s first and last line of defense from chaos and tyranny.

The Ishuran Judiciary is lead by the Grand Judic, appointed by The Royal House to serve a life-tenure. The Grand Judic is responsible for the organization of the Judiciary and has the authority to appoint lower judges, or Judics, to hear and rule on disputes and other legal matters between Ishurans.

When disputes arise, citizens often seek the counsel of a Judic to not only interpret the laws, but adjudicate the dispute and ensure the House's harmony is maintained. Without the judiciary, denizens may resort to settling disputes among themselves. While peaceful resolution outside of the Judiciary is encouraged, the counsel of a Judic is free to all those who find themselves in lands claimed by the House.
